this year the directors of Josab decided to intensify marketing efforts
towards aid organizations in East Africa. One part of the effort is to
increase the company presence in Nairobi, since it is an important hub
for the aid work in the region, one part being a strong UN presence the

water purification in the region is huge and simple solutions are much
sought-after. There has been a great interest in Josab’s products, why
the increased presences is believed to have a positive effect on the
company. In addition to the delivery for Burundi a smaller water purification unit, to be placed in Melut in Southern Sudan, was delivered earlier this autumn to the aid organisation Medair. Both of the deliveries already indicate that the effort will be successful.

Aqualite™ in Indonesia (2/10) The Indonesian army has just bought two mobile water purification units from the Indonesian company Dian Phala. The purification method is based on the filter media Aqualite™. For more than one year JOSAB
and Dian Phala has worked together in modifying the JOSAB purification
method to find a solution for purification of the extremely difficult
raw water, which can be found in some regions of Indonesia. The military
of the country needed a mobile unit, which could provide their staff
with safe drinking water no matter where in the country they were
operating. Since no equipment like this was available, they asked Dian
Phala, whom contacted JOSAB. After several laboratory tests a pilot unit
was built for full-scale testing. After this the military research
department tested the equipment before an approval was issued. The raw water is
particularly difficult in some regions and can colour wise be compared
to coffee with ph as low as 3,5. The first two units have now been
delivered to the army and according to Dian Phala additional orders are
to be expected. Aqualite™ certified in Poland (9/8) The Polish National Institute of Hygiene PHZ has approved the mineral Aqualite™ for use in drinkingwater production within the country. The certificate is necessary to market the Josab Aqualite™ System in Poland. The authority requires all material that might come in contact with food to be approved. Best in Test (26/7)

Aqualite™ System to be superior, why they during 2006 has recommended

purifying system for field hospitals/clinics. They
expressed: ”
Microbiological performance is excellent and complete removal of all
