ICRC, the international committee of red cross, Geneva, have bought a water purification plant for Iraq.
The water purification plant is designed and constructed by Josab in Sweden. The plant is mobile, mounted in a standard 20-feet container and furnished with diesel generator. The plant was delivered from Helsingborg in mars 1991 and produced drinking water for people in Husseiniyah, 23 km from Baghdad, during 5 years...

Water comes from an irrigation channel and is heavy contaminated by particles and bacteria. Purifying capacity is 16 000 litres per hour.
